Smoothies are the perfect food for quick energy. The combination of fruit, milk, and protein powder satisfies and energizes. It makes a quick breakfast and a great snack. They are so easy to make that when the children are old enough to operate the blender, they can make one for themselves. There are many varieties of smoothies. Everyone in my house has their favorite. We keep a supply of frozen banana halves, frozen strawberries, and frozen blueberries at the ready.
Tip: Warehouse stores sell gigantic bags of frozen organic fruit at excellent prices.
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 cup milk
2 Tbsp honey or 1 packet all natural Stevia sweetner
1 cup ice cubes
2 bananas, frozen, cut in half
1 tsp vanilla extract
